POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for the retention and satisfaction for assigned clients which includes: proactive and strategic engagement with client partners, including executives; appropriate application of security content expertise and evidence to formulate client-specific security solutions, articulation of HSS value proposition, and continuous improvement in security programs. Responsible for developing and managing teams and budgets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES


* People Management and Development:


* Provides on-going leadership, coaching and feedback to team members.
* Sets performance expectations and goals within the parameters of each team member's job description, appropriate to the particular team member and client; identifies and oversees appropriate developmental opportunities.
* Influences leaders toward the creation of work environment that values the contributions of staff.
* Works with assigned leaders to develop and implement succession plans.
* Client/Account Management and Engagement:
* Establishes strategic relationships with key executives and decision-makers in each assigned client location.
* Actively participates in client executive and stakeholder meetings, bringing thought leadership and strategic recommendations to help improve clients' business results.
* Works with clients to establish critical goals, or other key performance indicators that helps the client achieve their business objectives by maximizing the value they derive from HSS solutions.


* Provides expertise and leadership in guiding HSS teams to meet client goals and business objectives
* Continuously identifies and recommends new opportunities to provide additional value and opportunities to expand HSS' solution in a way that is consistent with and responsive to a client's goals and objectives.
* Advocates customer needs/issues cross-departmentally
* Prepares and manages budgets; approves purchases and makes recommendations for other expenditures.
* Establishes, improves and maintains operational procedures and policies to achieve HSS internal KPI's.
* Reviews account operations to ensure quality, service, efficiency and cost-effective management of resources by utilizing available data, performance measurement, best practices and expertise; proactively identifies and recommends improvements to the client.
* Is the first point of contact for direct reports regarding performance, operations, emergency response activities, and department/client needs.
* Serves as a lead resource to senior management in the event of a crisis affecting client locations, personnel or the HSS brand.
* Analyzes department effectiveness, productivity, and profitability and makes recommendations and/or changes as appropriate.

OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


* Assists direct reports in the development and management of Annual Security Management plan and effectiveness review, TJC readiness preparation, Emergency preparedness drills and exercises and others as appropriate; ensures these activities are completed in a timely manner.
* Assists with the execution of the HSS Quality Management Program such as ensuring the quality of various required preparedness drills, surveys, and other program activities.
* Supports business development leader in designing initial security programs for new prospects.
* Partners with transition team leaders for new accounts to create solution implementation framework.
* This job description is not all encompassing and the position will be required to perform other related work as requested and required.

QUALIFICATIONS


* Bachelor Degree in related field, Masters Degree preferred, plus 8 - 10 years of security management or law enforcement experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification or Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA) certification required within one year of eligibility
* Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, site leadership, and entry-level personnel.
* Strong leadership skills and world class customer service skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Conceptual and critical thinking skills and the ability to present ideas in a clear and compelling manner with attention to detail.
* Proficiency with computers as well as word processing, data management, and spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Office products including ability to learn the labor management and incident reporting software.
* Demonstrated ability to independently interpret and promote corporate policies and procedures
* Current and valid driver license and ability to meet the company's driving requirements
* Excellent people skills and ability to develop and manage successful business relationships with clients and prospective clients
* Ability to perform duties while maintaining a high degree of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
* Ability to demonstrate consensus building and negotiation skills within an organizational climate of collegiality and diverse operational activities.
* Ability to function with strategic orientation and act tactically as required.
* Ability and sincere willingness to work with the team and direct reports and take a "hands-on" approach.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a full-time position. Work hours will vary depending on prospect schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Environment may be fast paced and stressful.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee spends most time sitting and is occasionally required to stand or walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; or stoop, kneel, or crouch; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
