Job Description

Position Summary:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual that will be responsible for the calibration and repair of a variety of styles and types of pipettes. Successful candidate will coordinate with all levels of laboratories from the user to administrators, provide documentation, set schedules and track charges for services and parts.


* High School diploma or GED

* Must have good manual dexterity and fine motor skills (hands).

* Be a focused individual that pays close attention to small details for repair and documentation.

* Communicate to all levels in a professional manner, clearly and concisely expressing ideas and information.

* Be willing to develop a unique expertise, adapt to new technology.

* Comfortable using Microsoft office products and computers in general.

* Experience with Excel spreadsheets is a plus.

* HSS will provide all technical training.

Physical Demands & Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, individual may be required to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time working with equipment and wearing personal protective equipment medical and research environment. Will use normal range of vision, hearing, and speaking. May be required to lift and move up to 55 lbs. May be required to work in confined or small spaces. Individual may occasionally be exposed to changes in temperatures, humidity, electrical equipment, bodily fluids, pathogens, loud noise, fumes/odors, toxic or flammable chemicals and materials, and other conditions commonly found in medical or research environments. Individual will often be required to physically climb, bend, crouch, squat, crawl, kneel, balance, reach, and twist to accomplish duties.
