Job Description


Under the direction of the Client Solutions, performs a variety of security-related operational activities in order to support security operations across a portfolio of clients.


* Produces monthly and/or quarterly reports for credentialing, licensing and training compliance to submit to management. Produces and analyzes additional reports to support account and division management.
* Develops presentations.
* Participates in the development and implementation of training drills and exercises.
* Assists security leaders with the administration of HSS' time and attendance system.
* Assists with accounts receivable tracking.
* Works with security leaders to establish reliable data associated with critical goals or other key performance indicators that help the client achieve their business objectives.
* Partners with transition team leaders during new client start-ups to assist with hiring, credentialing, training and deployment of new staff.
* Assists with the development of operational policies/procedures, competency tasks and facility orders.
* In collaboration with the Client Solutions Director and Site Leaders, establishes, improves and maintains operational policies and procedures that support various key performance indicators
* Participates in the development and completion of security risk assessments, Annual Security Management Plans and Annual Effectiveness Reviews
* Creates and analyzes site specific data used to measure effectiveness, productivity, and profitability; may make recommendations regarding the same.
* On occasion, serves in a supervisory capacity


* Maintains a positive working relationship within HSS and various security and other customer management personnel, and local public safety agencies.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Rotates though various security posts and functions at client sites as needed.
* Responds to emergency situations, as required and in accordance with HSS guidelines.
* This job description is not all encompassing and the position will be required to perform other related work as requested and required.


* Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Business Administration, or related field and 2 to 3 years of work experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Healthcare security experience a plus.
* IAHSS Basic Officer, Advanced Officer and Supervisor Certifications preferred or must be completed within 1 year.
* Able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, site leadership, and entry-level personnel.
* Strong writing skills.
* Able to multi-task, strong organizational skills and initiative to complete tasks and follow through on projects with little direction.
* Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint and social media
* Conceptual and critical thinking skills and the ability to present ideas in a clear and compelling manner with attention to detail.
* Current and valid driver license and ability to meet the company's driving requirements.
* Excellent people skills and ability to develop and manage successful business relationships with clients and prospective clients.
* Ability to perform duties while maintaining a high degree of judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
* Basic math skills that allows for general data gathering and reporting on findings.
* Proficient with basic office machines to include, but not limited to, copiers, scanners, printers and binding machines.


This is a full-time position and may require overtime. Work hours will vary depending on the needs of the company and its clients. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Environment may be fast paced and stressful.

While performing the duties of this position, individual may be required to sit for extended periods using computer and telephone equipment in a typical office setting. May also spend time walking and standing. May lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Will use normal range of vision, hearing, and speaking. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis and formulation. While visiting client locations, individual may occasionally be exposed to changes in temperatures, humidity, chemicals, bodily fluids, and other conditions commonly found in client environments. Able to drive a vehicle.

When assigned to a client facility, individual will walk, stand, sit, observe and drive for extended periods of time in various weather conditions; run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment; help restrain or lift a person; occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds; frequently required to use hands, handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; self-motivation and ability to work independent of immediate supervision.
