Position Summary:


HSS is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Manager to oversee Security operations at Lutheran Medical Center located in Wheat Ridge, CO. This position will provide overall Security management services to the client and subordinates at the site level while driving innovation and account efficiency through strategic and tactical plan development and implementation.



What began in 1905 as the Evangelical Lutheran Sanitarium for patients suffering from tuberculosis continues today as one of the busiest and most respected hospitals in the nation. One of the unique aspects of Lutheran is an often-heard phrase, "My Lutheran." Countless people in the community tell that Lutheran is "their" hospital. Lutheran has implemented several successful quality initiatives, including those that work to help prevent avoidable readmissions to the hospital, especially among heart patients, as well as programs that focus on the special needs and well-being of its growing elderly population. With a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and a comprehensive prenatal and parenting education program for moms and dads, Lutheran helps about 3,000 babies each year get off to a healthy, happy start.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


•Fulfill the Responsibilities, Qualifications, Competencies, and applicable Addenda of a Security Officer, a Security Shift Supervisor.

•Must obtain IAHSS Safety Certification within 1 year of assignment.

•Must obtain TEAM Trainer Certification within 6 months of assignment and maintain current certification as a condition of employment.

•Manage site master schedule to include the daily scheduling all assigned security personnel.

•Manage time card processing and payroll accuracy.

•Manage overtime utilization.

•Provide employee involvement/security awareness educational programs and workshops.

•Identify and develop program issues impacting security operations.

•Analyze department functions and make suggestions, recommendations, and/or changes when appropriate to increase effectiveness and productivity.

•Review reports and situations for potential negative impact.

•Provide other duties at the direction of or in the absence of the HSS Administrative Supervisor.

•Attend management meetings and Living Leadership seminars as scheduled.

•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related discipline

License/Certification:

Require IAHSS Basic, Advanced, and Supervisor Training Certificate within 18 months of appointment. Require IAHSS Certified Healthcare Protection Professional Administrator Certificate within one year of eligibility and prefer American Society for Industrial Security's Certified Protection Professional Certificate within one year of eligibility.

Experience:

Prefer three to five years of HSS supervisor experience and background in management in a service setting; Requires adequate public speaking skills to participate in and/or lead a committee meeting; require writing skills to document security program and periodic surveys. Must have ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to manage and motivate employees required. Must have basic computer and keyboard skills. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Have general computer skills to include ability to learn VISION labor management software and E-SRT ä.

Skills:
Read, write, and speak English language; able to write routine reports and correspondence; possess basic computer skills; meet applicable license requirements; observe, walk, stand, sit, or drive for extended periods of time in various weather conditions; run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment; help restrain or lift a person; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds; frequently required to use hands, handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; self-motivation and ability to work independent of immediate supervision.
